That seems excessive for 6 weeks Doris cricket

Some WOMENS sports are now attracting their own individual sponsors from companies that sell to WOMEN but are basically being financed as professionals by income generated by the men’s game.

Sven - top women's contract is £15k.

Might make watching what Andre Russell does even more impressive after seeing a load of Doris' struggle to hit it off the square.

Equal prize money is easily tested by running separate competitions with their own gate takings and tv deals.
I’m guessing in the Hundred the prize money will be split equally (still nonsense) but the contract payments are different.
They made a big deal about the draft and those who were picked as £125k players in the men’s but have no idea what the women will be paid.
To be honest no one is going especially to watch the women in a double header

Re: England tour of South Africa
Also read on the BBC that they are having equal prize money in the hundred for men and women, seems absurd as the men will be bringing in 95% of the revenue.

Like when that bint Hope Solo said the Women's world cup in football should pay the same as the mens

No one on the planet gives a single fuck about womens cricket

Correct, i organised me and some mates going to watch one of these Hundred matches as it falls on my birthday, its a double header so essentially get free entry to the Women's game beforehand, 14 of us going everyone keen to make the point of showing up long after the women's game is finished.

Rubbish. If a few of the team's complained then things would have been altered.

Face facts England expected to top their group so the rule wasn't of any concern to them but then they underestimated South Africa.

Re: England tour of South Africa
All the team's signed the playing rules and conditions off before the tournament started.

Don't think they would have any say in the playing rules. Sign up or don't play, would be the choices, most likely.

Re: England tour of South Africa
It would be the boards and officials that signed it off with no consultation with the players or fans. To save a few quid

Not quite sure how England were ‘arrogant’.
They were in the best 4 teams and made the semi finals. That should be the knockout game not effectively losing one group game.
Luckily the men’s tournament is in October so the weather should be more reliable.

All the team's signed the playing rules and conditions off before the tournament started so they all knew.

England were arrogant and fully expected to win their group. It's just sour grapes.

Let's not forget that Kohli won the 'spirit of cricket' award recently as a sop to keep the BBCI on board because he didn't win any of the other awards.

The ICC is fucking toxic from the top down. Whatever else you may think of Lalit Modi, the IPL was a genius idea in ensuring no one will say boo to an Indian goose these days.

Re: England tour of South Africa
I read the report of Kohli’s press conference where he got very feisty at legitimate questions about his behaviour.
Not sure he has even been charged by the ICC

It's really just a shame that the second semi wasn't rained off too.

In other news, Kohli seems to have got away with swearing at the crowd, calling Kane Williamson a sister fucker, and being a petulant shit while enjoying a terrible run of form and overseeing his test and odi team getting a caning.

Amazing how much sway the BCCI have isn't it.

Re: England tour of South Africa
The semi finals were in Sydney and the final in Melbourne so you could fly down in an hour.
Understand the bollocks about having a short condensed tournament is really about not wanting to waste money on catering and staff by having the ground on standby for a day.

The great game of cricket is organised domestically and globally by TOTAL RETARDS who are just secret agents put in place by the FA, Premier League, UEFA and FIFA in order to make the latter appear to be shining beacons of sporting governance excellence in comparison.

Re: England tour of South Africa
I know it’s only Doris’ T20 cricket but how on earth can the ICC have no reserve days for a tournament with a Thursday semi final when the final isn’t til Sunday
Understand they have the same idiocy in place for the men’s T20 World Cup in October

Apart from Swepson for the Bangladesh tour not sure any of the 75mph medium pacers they trotted out here are going to seriously challenge Starc Cummins Hazlewood Pattinson J Richardson and Meredith in the queue for a Test place anytime soon.
Poor performances from the batsmen wasting any sort of chance to put themselves forward though.
Of course a cricket man like yourself Matty would know the interesting performance was much further south than the MCG

Jimmy Tayls tells me that Australia A - including national team members Harris, Khawaja, Patterson, Neser, Swepson and others - are being brutally torn apart by some wild Lions.
